Celestron X-Cel Set.

I'm just about to pull the trigger on three of these from Wex. I saw the pxr5 prices but don't like the lack of seller review compared with Wex for a few extra quid. Decided on 9mm - 12mm & 24mm to go with my Nexstar 6 SE.

Did look into this Pxr5 and it seems that it's a fairly new "back bedroom" type business that mainly gets goods in to order and runs several websites. What I could dig up on the owner was that he seems to be a decent sort and not out to rip anybody off. Looks like someone trying to get a new business off the ground.

The question is has he got all his prices right? Is anyone going to order one of the LXs and find out?

The X-Cel LX 18mm arrived today from Pxr5 - no problems at all. Ordered on Tuesday arrived Friday.

Just ordered the 5mm from Pxr5. I needed a high powered eyepiece for my new Orion Optics newt and that X-Cel LX looks a good bet, especially at £57 delivered.

+1 for not buying the whole set. It makes more sense to me to buy 3 or maybe 4 ep's in focal lengths you will use all the time.

Daft Q, so apologies. Do the X-Cel LX EPs have threads for 1.25" filters? The barlow does I believe, but do the EPs themselves?

Just for the record, the LX barlow is also a nice bit of kit, and to my eyes performs as well as the LX EPs. As Rory has stated above, all come with standard threads for 1.25" filters.
