Is the NEQ6 pro and the EQ6 pro the same thing?

no, NEQ6 pro has the GOTO system, the EQ6 has just a tracking capabilitys, thats the main difference, if their are more differences someone will be along shortly and explain

The NEQ6 has a saddle that allows both Vixen and Losmandy dovetails and the mount also have a longer counterweight bar; an extension so to speak.

The NEQ6 has the wider Losmandy saddle, a counterweight extension bar and the Synscan handset. The EQ6 has the normal vixen style saddle and a Syntrek handset. The EQ6 can be upgraded to goto by purchasing a Synscan handset or you can connect it to computer via an EQDIR module and control it using a planetarium pragram and EQMOD.

Please note the OP referred specifically to the EQ6 Pro not the EQ6. The only difference between the NEQ6 and EQ6 Pro is the saddle type. There are syntrek and synscan version of the EQ6 Pro available.
