SW low profile focuser - help

Hi,

Just fitted a SW low profile focuser and when using an EP I cannot get anything in focus, when fully extened I just get a blurred star. If I pull the EP out slightly - 1/4", I can get some focus but this is not ideal. Before I go back to the supplier does anyone know if I have I missed anything ?

Have you got a low profile 1.25" adapter in, or a high profile one? Tried an extender tube? Your post seems to suggest you need it higher to focus. These might help.

I have a low profile on my SW 150pds the only way I can get my eyepieces to focus is to use the 2" eyepiece holder plus a standard 2" to !.25" adapter.

I had the same issue when I fitted my Revelation low profile Crayford, I need a 35mm extension tube to get ANY eyepiece to focus.

I also overlooked this when changing to a low profile focusser to achieve focus with a camera. To focus an EP I used a 2" 35mm extension tube, same as Lorne.

Guys, thanks for the help. Shame they don't tell you up front that it's needed. I'll order one today.
