This early morning [sept 5] the blue sky is completely cloudless and contrail free here in SW London. Not the same on Aug 18 at sun-up with this pic from bedroom window where 'trail converted to high cirrus

We get this all to often, it totally ruined my Perseids experience.

Shame too, I found a site that mentioned in Belgium we get something like 230 cloudy or rainy days a year and then for the rest of the clear nights a fair portion of them are like your picture.

Jet trails are real menace- I've had some otherwise great images ruined by very vapour trails recently.

This contrail wrecked five 5 minutes subs.....

Just went out to the obsy to set up and a previously promising sky was ruined with contrails. Getting really fed up.

Hah, funnily enough i noticed this earlier over bournemouth, way more than usual, conditions must've been perfect for creating them and keeping them there today.

They should really be considered to be pollution.
