i live not far from gloucester and need some dark sky sites or hints and tips on finding a gd location e.g there a rives not far away but seems to obvious lol

And don't forget to check it through with google street view before you decide, check it out in the light first and if possible take some company the first time out in the dark.

There is a very active group just over the Border from you, South Wales Valleys.

We have lots of meets at night in the Blaneavon Area. We are a great social bunch and would be happy to have you in the group

that wierd i was just talking today that i worked in blaneavon a few months ago and i was thinking of going there becouse of the dark sky sites it about 40 mins away that fine for me would love to come!

I have to say that the Welsh lot are a good bunch! They even let me post in their Dob mods section when I stumbled there by mistake! Didn't mind at all ... even when I said I was an Essex boy
