Delta Aquarids and the famous Perseids

From the recent postings it looks like a few of you have seen a bit of action already!

Technology has moved on these days, you know. Hammocks don't need to be suspended between trees any more. You can get them strung on frames that sit on the ground.

I think a Hammock would be an awesome way to watch for meteors - I'm surprised that I've not seen anyone try it yet I volunteer to give it a go - if anyone hears snoring, let me sleep ok?

I've just had this vision of the next generation of meteor watchers arriving at their viewing site and, having moved on from reclining chairs, breaking out the portable hammocks for a night's viewing. Followed by the scene the next morning as the sun rises: just one vehicle left and, in the watery dawn light, a lone hammock from which the chatter of the dawn chorus is punctuated by snoring

Me and a few others are planning on going to Llyn Brenig on Saturday 11th around the time of it's peak with the scope. We're really looking forward to it.
