Funnily enough I also moved up from a 127 mak. STOP COPYING ME lol

Unfortuneatly I dont have the sony cam (you would want to be an individual ) so cant realy comment on that but I do know that the pds is a faster scope and therefore you shouldnt need as long exposures.

I got my first shot at imaging with mine last night and 10sec exposures were superb. I am only learning tho and that was my 1st ever shot.

I'm sure more people will be able to help you more but I hope that helps a little.

Managed to get hold of a nearly new HEQ5 for £600. Result. Now here's hoping for continued clear skies down south.
