M31 Andromeda

Borrowed a Canon 100mm-400mm EF L lens and got 22x120s lights 11 Darks 9 Flats and 19 Bias to get this photo of M31. Processed in Pixinsight.

Great image - well done Unfortunately spoilt by JPEG artifacts. May I suggest saving as PNG rather than JPEG?

Might not be JPEG Artefacts the Wavelet Filtering and Deconvolution mucked up some of the brighter stars (since there oval due to the lack of guiding, my birthday should rectify that) still learning how to use Pixinsight and getting more advanced masking on the stars to protect them from the more extreme processes.

I also just got the 60D and it has way better noise performance than my old 10D. I can push my image farther without showing large gradients.

Great shot, I might push the saturation a bit more on my version of M31 after seeing this.
