Im sure it will be fine, but cannot comment further I have the Celestron F6.3 Corrector / reducer, which also flattens the field of view, expect this might to? I only use mine occasionally for visual purposes.

If it is the Celestron you prefer then keep an eye on Astro Buy and Sell as they often come up here at a fair price.

The Celestron and Meade are certainly the same. Be aware that, for visual use, the widest FOV you can get with the popular SCTs is with a long FL widefield EP and 2 inch visual back and diagonal. If you have these items already you will get no wider field with the reducer because the baffle tube defines the limit of the field.
