Optical Wonder Fluid - advice please!

Hi folks,

I've just bought some Baader Optical Wonder Fluid as I recently left a dirty great fingerprint on my Meade 9mm HD-60 EP. It doesn't seem to have any instructions with it so I was hoping someone could tell me exactly how to go about this. I assume you just spray a little on and wipe off with the cloth provided but I'm not sure whether to wipe off straight away or leave a while to soak into the mark. Is there a favoured wiping method - circles, straight across etc?!

Spray it onto the cloth, then wipe the lens. I don't think it matters what direction you work in, just use as little pressure as is necessary to clean the mark off.

i tend to use a cotton bud for eye pieces, as what was said as little pressur as possible

1. Use a blower to blow off any dust on the lens,

2. spray Baader fluid on the lens cloth

3. wipe the finger print with the lens cloth. Only wipe in straight line, don't rub it.

Thanks for the link. That's a very interesting read. I'm surprise to hear saliva can be made into a lens cleaner.
