M42 Re-process

As there has been little imaging time recently i have started to re-process some of my images.

This was imaged mid-December and this is the original process.

26 x 5mins, taken over two nights 15th and early hours of 19th December 2011

Modified Canon EOS 450D CLS filter captured in APT

Skywatcher Evostar ED80 Pro

Guided with ST80 and PHD (dithering in APT)

On NEQ6

I have now spent quite a bit of time re-processing it, so this is the same image again re-processed with a bit of selective High pass filter.

Much happier with this even though the extra stretching has revealed more of the noise.

Well worth the reprocess Carole you have really brought out a lot more of the action in the second attempt. Really love the rich reds too makes it looks like Orion is fiery
