I recently stumbled on a video tutorial on processing DSLR images using a synthetic luminance created from the RGB, so I decided to give it a try. I took an old image from last summer, which I shot in Die France, in which I wanted to see if an added luminance layer could increase the contrast in the weak dust surrounding the Iris. I think it is a succesfull test, and I will keep practicing this method to master it completely.

High res version, link to the video tutorial, original proces, and workflow outline on my site
