Barlows and my gear

I've never used a Barlow and was just wondering if I would benefit from owning one bearing in mind the gear I already have. I'm very happy with my X-CEL ep's and have no plans to change any of them. I had wondered about getting a 2.3 for the full set and the occassional night of top notch seeing, what do we think?

The 5mm, I would have thought it would have the 7mm but the 5mm indeed gets far more usage

I dont see that you would benefit from a barlow, you seem to have most focal lengths covered

I cannot see any point in a Barlow with the eyepieces you already have.

Yeah that's what I thought really.

Point 2 do you reckon a 2.3mm LX would be too much

Barlows are a pain to mess around with, so if you have the focal lengths you need, don't bother.
