This is my first try at this object as a "stand alone" object.

Pity I chopped off the end of it's beak.

Hope to add to it, or better still get all of it in next time!!!

This is 1 hour 40 mins in total

20 x 5mins 800 ISO Modified Canon 450D CLS filter

how did you manage to get rid of the clouds long enough to do it?

Well I did have to do it between 2 and 4am, so maybe you guys had gone to bed and didn't see that the clouds had cleared.

Thanks for your comments every-one.

Well I am retired now, so if I don't go to bed until 4.30 am I can sleep through until about 10am if I want to.

Can't do it too often though as it catches up on me. But if I am in the obsy and it's a clear sky and I don't have to get up in the morning for anything I try to make the most of it.

I love staying up late but we have grandchildren coming round every other day and I need some sleep to cope with them, mind you with all the cloud we have had next clear night I get I will be up all night long for sure.
