And I thought M51 was hard to process!

Galaxies are tough to handle that's for sure.

This is about 4hrs Lum 1x1, RGB 1 hr each 2x2, Ha 1.5 hrs. ED80 & 16HR.

DSS & PS7. Flats but I removed the bias as it made things worse not better. I'll revisit this data another day, perhaps with Maxim.

Cheers QM, yes I am pleased with it mate.

I found it challenging to process to say the least. It's got a good combination of faint and bright areas, So blowing it completely would have been easy.

Still don't know what I'm doing with colour so its mainly done by eye.

What night did you take this on? The Ha has shown up a few of the red blobs that are missing from my version, maybe thats something I should try. You also kept the star colour better than I did. Its an object with quite a low surface brightness, so youre always going to have a job on.

Good work anyways :icon_salut:

Thanks for the kind comments.

This is from the Friday and Saturday nights. I re-processed it from scratch and I forgot to add a star layer this time. There is another Lum layer in this version, blended in at about 35% to try and sharpen things up a tad more. The Ha is blended with the Red channel and also as another layer after giving it a false colour, it wouldn't show up before I did that step. No science to any of it, all done by eye.
