Just curious are we any closer to getting the above reinstated?

It's planned to be part of the new forum software Damo. This went out on the 2nd March:

As you know it's all being done by folks with jobs / families etc so is prioritised accordingly. We have only just got over organising a successful star party !.

Couldn't agree more - at least here you could be sure it was going to a fellow astronomer, unlike EBay where a lot of people buy cheap to sell on at a profit (not that I have any problems with making a profit!
