Mars 8" SCT March 27th

What amazingly clear night, and exceptional seeing. I managed to to take this image of Mars at 11pm. Philips ToUcam Pro II webcam + 4x Tal barlow & Meade 8" operating at f40. best of 4000frames stacked in registax.

Nice work. I was giving my synscan goto kit a trial run last night, so spent half the time faffing about and adjusting things, but even in light-polluted Lewisham the seeing was occasionally excellent, so I'm looking forward to processing some of the footage I took with the C8 and SPC880.

Yeah, I searched for Mars pics taken using 8" SCTs and your old post popped up... 4 years on, and still looks good.
