Stellerium is fast

Hi

My copy of Stellerium seems to be running about 13 mins fast, according to the last pass of the ISS, is there a way of adjusting it?

Yes Lat, Lon and height are set correctly.

Anybody else got this problem?

I found this when i first installed it mine was 7 and half mins fast. I set my coordinates and it still seemed a little out but i just adjusted the clock which is located on the left hand pop up menu.

Try forcing a satellite update in the plugin then compare the data to Heavens-Above Home Page

The data is normally updated automatically every 72 hours but you might be running on an old data set.

XP laptop V.11

I am having some problems with the program on XP, myself. However, on Win 7, it runs very smoothly with nothing that I have discerned causing problems. You might just have to upgrade to Win 7.

Cartes du Ciel is a program you might want to try, although I am not sure it if supports satellite tracking.

XP laptop V.11

I had the same thing happen with an old Vista laptop and it turned out to be caused by a problem with the ATi graphics card and OpenGL.

I also read that sometimes XP's power management settings can cause it.
