Towa 339

Hello to all...I was recently given a Towa 339 80mm/1200mm telescope. I had hoped to use the device to watch a family of Red Tail Hawks that set up home in a tree across the field from my house. I am missing the erecting eye piece for the scope. Does anyone know where I may be able to find one or is there and adapter that I may use to for another brand

Hello Lennox and welcome to SGL.

The Towa 339 is a classic scope and in its original state had a .965" eyepiece setup.

You can buy an adapter that converts the .965" to a standard 1.25" system. Once you have the adapter you can buy a correct image diagonal and standard eyepieces.

Here are some links -

ScopeTeknix ScopeTeknix 0.965" to 1.25" eyepiece adaptor

Antares 1.25" top-quality Amici prism corrected star diagonal for refractors

Antares 1.25" 45 degree corrected image prism

Hope this helps.

Mark
