Redo - Omega Centauri NGC-5139

Well group,

This is my final redo of this cluster...It's all the data I can squeeze out of 9-20 sec. subs... Total of a 3-min. exposure. It's not the best I've seen. But, if you knew the effort that went into capturing this one..You'd be fairly satisfied. It was a long evening and Murphy's Law - almost won....

The scope was a Meade LX-90 Classic (8") with a f 6.3 FR. The camera was a Canon XT (DSLR) - unmodified.

Worth the effort....cool image! Reminds me of a celestial swarm of bees!

Canon XT or 350D as it's called over here does a remarkable job astronomy wise for an unmodified camera.

That is a signifcant improvement Doug, and very worthwhile the extra effort in 'redoing' it.

You should be feeling really 'chuffed' with that image now, its a 'cracker', well done indeed.
