Which Dual Mount Bar??

I want to mount my SW ED80 PRO and ED120 PRO together on my HEQ5 and wondered if anyone had experience of these or similar scopes on a dual bar? If so is the:

First Light Optics - ADM Vixen-type Dual Mounting Bar

Or the:

First Light Optics - ADM Losmandy-style Dual Mounting Bar (With appropriate saddles)

The better option?

Both my scopes already have Skywatcher dovetails. Thanks.

I use one of these

Astro Engineering AC694 Gemini-Bar for Sky Watcher and other GEMs

on my HEQ5 - and I'm happy with the performance. I use an ED80 and ST80 guidescope.

I've just recieved the ADM kit, the differential for me was the evident build quality and "fix-ed-ness" of the end setup. The ADM stuff isn't going anywhere, the Gemini looks like it might flex a bit (very narrow contact points) and damage the dovetails (screw fitments.)

Yes, I quite like the design of the clamp types over the screws that dig pits in the dovetails. This is not because of the damage - its just that once you have made a pit in the dovetail the screws will always find their way into the pits and not allow proper adjustment.

Imho the Gemini is fine for a couple of small light scopes like my Meg72 and SW80. For something a bit more substantial though I would recommend the Losmandy which you'll prefer for anything like a 100mm appo and over

Thanks for the tips so far folks - seems there are more types of dual bar on the market than I thought!

The ADM Losmandy seems to be the most substantial - any comments??

I had the ADM Vixen bar which I was very happy with... until a second hand ADM Losmandy came up and then I switched. Both were/are excellent.

Do a search for Robin Casday. I think he makes the best. Even has a trial bar for three scopes. High quality machining.
