New Atik Website and Imaging Competition

Atik have been busy building a new website: http://www.atik-cameras.com/

It is an ongoing project (aren't they always) to provide a useful resource centre for product features, specifications, manuals and sample images. And if you ever wondered who the people are behind Atik cameras, checkout their Key Personnel section.

They have also launched next year's Atik Imaging Competition 2012 and are dropping hints about a number of new products in the pipeline. (We met with them recently and tried to strong-arm details but their lips were sealed...!).

It is good to see a manufacturer of CCD astronomy cameras, with a UK service centre, doing so well in this tough economic climate :)

Atik Hyperstar cameras with small pixels and thin housing... good for those small 66/65/70/72 ED/APO refractors that are going hot lately :) (how much hyperstar imagers are in Europe vs short refractor imagers?)

Nice looking site, it would be interesting to see if any SGLers get into the top places on the competition

The entries are displayed on Atik's stand at Astrofest in February and also online. Visitors to the stand and website vote for thier favourite :rolleyes:
