Orion first time

Orion this morning at 5am using my nikon d100 first time! Iso 800 28mm 30sec exsposure orion is probably my fav sight in a scope!which is why im now taking the first steps into ap!Would love some feed back please guys and any tips on how to get a better pic! Thanx

hi there have you tried take in 10/15 30 secs pics and then stack in them ? stacking will get you a better pic this pic looks about right for a single 30 sec sub

Thanks yeah good to see it back! I have tried taking 10/15/20/30 subs but no stacking program which progam is the best and the easiest to use as i am pants with computers! Thanks for the feed back guys

Kilty,

Try DeepSky Tracker. It's a free download and excellant at stacking multiple images.

From there take some dark frames to combine with the light frames and combine in DSS.

This is probably a good starter for ten. There are numerous threads in the imaging section.

Does those stacker programs support 16 bit importing and processing?

Yes, they take 16bit tif's or fit's and export a 32Bit Tif.
