Baadar solar film

Recommended Posts

I don't see why not. I just bought some and made filters for my ED80 and ETX125 but not as large as your 8" Dob. You won't need a filter for the eyepiece as well, but you'll need one for your finderscope too or you'll melt it. The ND5 is the correct one for visual use.

This is an image I did with it. There is a thinner photographic version which is not suitable for observing, but I didn't know that when I bought mine, so this is an image using the visual Baader filter.

If you have a cap on the end of the tube with 2 smaller caps on it,then remove the larger and (Using Gaffa tape) tape a small square of Baader film over the apeture! Fully usable whenever you need it and works well! Good luck & clear skies!
