appalachik
I see you're in Manchester... Well, depending on what you can afford after buying everything else, a holiday home in the Canaries ought to be on the shopping list. That should guarantee you some great stargazing nights On a more serious note, I can't do without a fleece hat and fingerless gloves.Jenna
swamp thing
HiI would suggest the following.1/ Star atlas2/ Red torch 3/ Dew shield (made from a camper mat) 4/ Flask of tea/coffee/soup whichever you prefer.5/ Notepad and pencil6/ Warm clothes, hat and gloves if you feel the cold7/ Observing seat of some description.8/ Something to put your atlas, flask....etc on 9/ A collimating tool either a laser or a cheshire eyepiece.10/ The darkest sky you can get toGood LuckSteve
yeti monster
A visit to Todmorden Astronomy Centre in, of all places, Todmorden. They meet at 19:30 on Saturdays I believe and are most welcoming.
