C14 is a Small Scope

That's a good technique. I guess the only catch is that you need to have something of adjustable height or coincidentally the right height for it to work. Isn't balancing a scope the size of a C14 still problematic for girly men, though? You can't rest it on anything because you need it to move freely to test the balance.

That guy was rather obnoxious, wasn't he?

Yes, he does seem to like the sound of his own voice and has a particularly condescending manner.

It's a good technique, though I don't think I'd ever try putting a C14 on a G11.

Quite a useful technique tho. (Girly?) Whining aside, I'm less "depressed" re. my [expletive] "dicky ticker", now I've "quantised" the high lifting at comfortable levels. :)

Of course, there remains, the final (Highland Games?) "scope toss", but I'm becoming more adept. ODDLY(?), I install / clamp the whole dovetail / ring assemble first, in case I "miss". LOL. And (for the prospective Quattro owners too!) an 8" F4 Newt is surprisingly manageable! :)

Unfortunately, even this scope won't QUITE fit under my (closed) observatory roof, in the traditional "vertical" configuration. But I'm thinking (remembering?) - Maybe the EQMod home / parked position can be custom-set or something... Ways and Means, Eh? :headbang:
