I did watch it and it didn't really grip me. I also find Hammonds style irritating and the rest of the program wasn't good enough to make up for it. Not bad graphics on the earth sim though.

I couldn’t quite understand why he was in that big yellow lift machine thing. It just seemed like he was a bit childish moving himself around in it.

Watched it, found Hammond irritating - but I did like the bit when the vulcanologists decended into the volcano's crater - and then set up camp!

I thought that was mad until that lone scientist decended even further to the pool of boiling lava (750 ft across) and then stood there on the edge of that boiling pool admiring the view - even when all the time the other scientist (600 ft above him in the relative 'safety' of the camp) was shouting at him not to be so foolish!
