Plato. Final image from the sequence taken a week or so ago. Same equipment, C8 SCT + red filter + DMK. I aways have a problem with scale with these Moon photos, so just for fun I have overlayed a map to show the approximate scale of the photo. It makes Plato a tad smaller than it actually is (50 v 60 miles dia) but its interesting to see how big some of these features really are.

Thanks for posting this. Its a bit scary when you get a sense of scale like this. Makes you think what may happen if something crashed into the earth. Live for the day...go out and spend all you savings on that new scope you always wanted!
