Thoughts on a good 2" Barlow

I'm after a a good 2" Barlow that will suit the ep in my sig. Have heard mixed things about the tv big Barlow. Have seen the 2" powermate just wondered if anyone has any views on other brands?

Have looked at the William optics 2.5x 2" has anyone got any thoughts on this ?

Hi Jake i can highly recommend the Antares 1.6 x 2" barlow works well with TeleVue ep`s, only downside is the lack of a compression ring,

Yep - the Antares 1.6x is good and I also like the TV big barlow. But I'd sell 'em both for a 2.5x Powermate

The 2.5x powermate is a 1.25" fitting my thinking was that the WO 2.5x I could use with the 12t4 nagler that would give me 4.8x thus making the 5mm nagler redundant which I would sell or is that not a good move

The William Optics 2" 2.5 x barlow was discontinued a couple of years ago so finding one can be a bit difficult as they don't come up for sale too often.

Another big thumbs up for the Antares 1.6x 2" here

I use it with Ethos eyepieces and it works excellently - just seems to "get out of the way".

The 2" Skywatcher ED works well with my Ethos and ES 100 deg eyepieces.
