Markarian's Galaxy Chain Widefield

My 2nd image with my recently configured WO66 with Flattener II.

This is around F4.9 with 300mm focal length so quite a widefield view. The image is cropped by about 75% to get rid of mis aligned edges.

LRGB in 5min unbinned subs at about 1 hour each channel with the QHY9 + 2inch filter set.

Tried hard to keep the faint star colours.

I am still amazed at the amount of galaxies in this image and might just have to zoom in on the eyes with the MN190

Very nice widefield. Definitely got that on my list to have a try.

As you say there are an astonishing number of galaxies on view. I love these deep shots of galaxy clusters.

Great looking image.

What I have found useful is to have a Flickr account and then submit it to the astrometry.net group, the analysis showing the number of galaxies will amaze you.

Great. That part of the sky is so remote and mysterious. It reminds me of an astronomical antique shop.

Thanks everyone, still a bit disapointed that there isn't all that much colour in these galaxies.
