  1. Very nice object. It would be one of next targets for imagining, Alan, excellent work.
  2. I had one DIY scope with silicone as solution for primary mounting. This was terrible solution! Constantly had problem with image at EP, until I remove silicon and made normal clips, not tightened to much. After that I always had good image at EP. If you want to eliminate pattern on pictures than mask is best solution. Regarding changing F number just measure diameter with mask installed an after f/d calculation you will know...
  3. Nice little wonder... Must have item
  4. Amazing work done! This scope really deserves such treatment because it produces one of the best 6" scope performance. Planet killer!
  5. Dear Tony, I collimated my TAL-100R with such Cheshire. Maybe easiest way is to read this topic: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/386603-cheshire-refractor-collimation/ Happily it is so easy to collimate f/16 scope... 🙂 P.S. It is not necessary to remove wires....
  6. Astro-photos with this scope (and other "Aristarh" astronomy club scopes) are available at our humble web site www.aristarh.rs
  7. My Intes-Micro MN-55 (140/770 mm), photo version of Maksutov-Newtonian is in top condition for more than 10 years.... Pinpoint stars, no spikes, beautiful crisp image, APO like... I love this scope, I will keep it forever....
  8. For poor people take into consideration these little wonders... https://www.baader-planetarium.com/en/accessories/optical-accessories/eyepieces/q-turret-classic-ortho-plossl/classic-ortho-10mm-1¼"-okular-(ht-mc).html 6 mm, 10 mm, 18 mm... "The eyepieces use the same glasses and the same optical design as the old orthoscopic Zeiss Jena eyepieces." I have them and they are wonderful... Even better when you consider price.
  9. Only the price of big mirrors.... 🥲 @Peter I would like to see pictures of yours 30" Dob, please...
  10. Hello O4, I think best solution for you is 3D printing. I bought my TAL-100R without finder, and printed adapter that fits on one side to original bracket on TAL focuser and on other side have normal rail for standard finder (I am using 6x30 Chinese one).
