There's a lot of 12P Pons-Brooks pictures in the widefield Special Events section 😉

From the UK it's not possible to see Pons-Brooks anymore. The comet is now visible in the southern hemisphere. There might be another comet visible from the UK in October. https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/advice/comet-c-2023-a3-tsuchinshan-atlas

So far I can remember Comet Wirtanen as just naked eye visible. Neowise was clearly visible by eye, and I could just about see 12P Pons- Brooks at the end of March. Comets are fascinating and scary too.

Hale-Bopp C/1995 O1 during 1997 was amazing , was lucky to be around for that one. Before Hale-Bopp I hadn't seen a Comet. I can't remember Comet West in 1976, i may of seen it by chance... Just noticed 13P Olbers on stellarium while checking the altitude or 12P Pons-Brooks. Then checked SGL for any info. Prolly too feint for untracked DSLR shots.

Cloud and drizzle over the UK Would of loved to get a photo of those three.

Sinking into the murk yesterday evening April 9th. Probably the last chance to photograph it. The crescent moon will be in conjunction with the comet tonight, the weather forecast is not good though hereabouts.

Mostly clear skies yesterday evening. The Comet is harder to photograph now as it sinks lower at dusk.

Saturday April 6th A gap in the cirrus for 5 mins allowed a couple of shots this evening. It wasn't really dark enough, but the clouds thickened up again before dark. Thin clouds and a bit of editing on the phone has bloated Jupiter. zoom at 120mm APSC

The skies were a bit "mucky" in East Anglia yesterday evening (Monday 1st April). Just to see what happened I tried to pick up comet 12P with my phone, It wasn't great but it shows in the photos.

March 29th First time I've seen the Comet through binoculars (swift 10x50s ) this evening 20.10GMT , easy to pick out. A bit of annoying cloud had to drift in, then the Comet sunk behind the roof. Managed to grab another ariel photo, so a short but sweet observation. Zoom lens at 260mm f5.6 20seconds ISO 3200

This was early Sunday morning 00.30 GMT Aurora struggling against 99% moon.

Very good visibility yesterday evening with the arrival of cleaner and drier air from the northwest. Shame the moon was about 90% full. I haven't seen this comet naked eye, but got a couple of shots in camera. The comet definitely appeared brighter than a couple of weeks ago, plus the sky was clearer yesterday than it had been for about a month.

There were clear spells in the evening of Wednesday 6th March, so took a couple of shots of 12P/Pons-Brooks before it sank below the roof. The sky was VERY hazy with pollution being imported from the continent, and this made the light pollution worse. The clouds returned shortly after. Single 20 sec exp with Astrotracer and 55-300 zoom.
