  1. My image from 7th May 2020 to compare. North at top.
  2. Used a Lunt 60mm DS with pressure tuner and tilt tuner on DS. Camera was a Zwo Asi 178mm and false colour added in photoshop. Also used to bring out the proms was ImPPG.
  3. Hi all, got all the different cameras connected via APT and Sharpcap. Focus wheel connected. Telescope fans and dew shield heater connected but I'm having real trouble connecting the neq6 to the computer. Download ascom and pad plus drivers but computer won't connect nor will APT to the mount, I've tried through the hand controller and through Bluetooth. Any suggestions.
  4. I'll take a look at my ha image from yesterday and post later to compare.
  5. Yeah, proms similar in ha and cak.
  6. Hi, yeah, the left of the high peak and left high peak of the histogram affects the outer part of your image bringing out the prominences, the lower part after the high peak and to the right affects the disk itself. Hope this makes sense.
  7. Image taken on 4th May 2020 using Lunt 60mm Double Stack, pressure tuner and tilt tuner for DS and Zwo Asi 178mm. False colour added in Photoshop CS2.
  8. Solar activity from 2nd May 2020. Trying to catch up, lol. Lunt 60mm Double Stack, pressure tuned and DS tilt tuned, Zwo Asi 178mm and false colour added in Photoshop CS2.
  9. You won't regret it, so much better. Did mine a couple of years ago.
  10. Losmandy dovetail plate arrived yesterday for my C11 XLT. Love it, really good quality and sturdy. Awaiting delivery today of an SCT focuser for the C11. Hopefully be first light tonight. Updste, SCT focuser has arrived and now fitted. Also retro fitted JMI motor focus I had knocking around.
  11. Thanks, puts my mind at rest seems it's 12.5kg. Should be great as the neq6 weight limit is 20kg, more than enough.
  12. Hi all, I've got hold of a second hand C11 carbon tube sct recently and currently have a neq6 mount. Would this be a good combo. Tried to find out weight of the C11 carbon to no avail. Any advice would be good. Incidentally my neq6 has been hyper tuned.
  13. Thanks, appreciate this. I'm just discovering ImPPG's varied processing abilities. I was just publishing my work flow so far as I was asked what it was to produce my solar image's. Still on the learning curve myself.
  14. Welcome, there are great people on here who are more than willing to help and share their wisdom. Have fun with your hobby.
  15. Hi Freddie, I usually alter the settings then press the apply button on the top of the screen. That applies all my settings. Sorry, forgot to mention that detail.
  16. Armed with the info we can produce great image's with modest equipment. Accidentally worked out this new processing technique. Eliminates the need to produce two images, one of disk and one of proms and having to combine them.
  17. Welcome to the forum Karen, great advice given already. Have fun with this fantastic hobby.
  18. Thanks, appreciate that. Battled with strong gusts of wind and passing cloud's but was good transparency.
  19. Hi all, Posting recent image from yesterday 29th April 2020. As usual I've used my lunt 60mm DS and Zwo Asi 178mm camera. False colour added in Photoshop CS2. Also I've posted my work flow for image processing of my solar images using ImPPG under "Imaging, Tricks and Techniques, etc. Hope this helps someone as people have been asking about my new post stacking solar imaging work flow.
