I've just been doing some cross referencing between catalogues..... They're not very accurate in some places, so not sure what should be believed.

Let us know if you hit a block and we'll see if we can work round it! The catalogues aren't always consistent, and that can cause a hiccup or two.
How did you get the diameters on the LDN catalogue as I can't see it in Vizier ?
-
@coatesg - Mmmm... I've come up with some interesting quirks!!! But I hope I can work around them somehow

Wow! This is a great post!! Thank you! I'm going to give it a go and see how it works. I can get the PI annotating to work, it's the catalogues that have me scratching my head...... I'll report back

Looking good - This sensor is considered old in the tooth and has it's doubters if you read the internet, but I love it and think that there is plenty of mileage left in it yet ....... I'm sure you'll love this camera!!!

I'd be interested to know if the 'gunk' on the inner side of the blue green glass also finds its way onto the other little red filter on the other side of the diagonal? To that end I'm sending ours off to Germany for a service and check.

Nice, Sara. They are really good piers and if it's for your EQ8, a perfect match
It certainly is Ray - The tripod was just taking up too much room and I kept kicking it!!

All unwrapped and awaiting fixing...... Need a cooler morning to do that work!

Thanks Sara, that's very kind.
I've been following your obsy rebuild with great interest. I'm envious of the skies you have out there in Spain - and of course, of your excellent images!
Kev
Cheers Kev..... as it stands right now, my observatory roof was completed a week ago and I've been in the UK since then..... I've not even seen it yet ??

A very nice build indeed.... I do enjoy looking at these despite, sadly, having zero skills of my own. It's really taking shape now ????

.....Can't see why you'd not be happy with this Sara, it is fantastic!
It is the colour palette that I am uncomfortable with!!
13 hours ago, AngryDonkey said:Hi Sara,
Also love the colour! Somehow looks more natural then the usual palette. How did you assign the narrowband data to the colours?
The assignment was the usual for HST images...... SHO - SII red, Ha Green and OIII Blue
Thanks guys for the positive comments especially as this is a colour palette that I would never normally use.
-
Thanks to you all for your comments - I think this has spurred me on to continue with this project in the next season as was originally planned Lets see how big a mosaic can be done!!

@steppenwolf - Cheers Steve - I think it's fixed now...... I really should have realised that I'd done nothing to the flame and that it was lacking
-
Thanks guys for your comments... The flame has been titivated a little. I didn't realise how soft it was compared to the rest of the image. I had clearly neglected it!!!
