Well here too, outside of Toronto Canada i haven't seen the sky at all in about 4 weeks straight, unreal. We amateurs love to gripe about clouds and crappy weather, common people! i know we can gripe a lot better than this!.

That's quite a haul! is this a new scope and, are you new to the hobby? if so you're working your way through DSO's like a champ. Have you heard of SkySafari? it's a great app for your phone/tablet that you can use to select all kinds of objects and the live sky view will highlight their locations as you hold your phone up to the sky. There are two version, it's the plus version which unlocks all the features costs a few dollars but well worth it, there you'll have thousands of objects ranging from double stars, clusters, nebulae etc. Just select what you want highlighted in the settings and i assure you you'll won't be short of things to chase down.

Doesn't an experiment like the LHC critically depend on knowing the speed of light? I thought this was figured out already.

Pretty cool! I want one too.

Stunning images as always! you know you're spoiled when you say it was "too cold this morning" living in Florida lol

That was fun to watch, anyone else notice that silly looking apparatus on the front of the Meade SCT in the last example? what is that they fit to the scope? it is made of metal as i can see weld marks lol.
looks like the producer figured it isn't impressive enough so they fit a cage to the front haha.

I've been in a no-mans-land since the DC left me, and have even resorted at times to using one of those scopes with a mirror at the bottom end, - I forget what they're called!
This had me laughing!

Nice image! if your lunar images become what your solar images are then were in for a real treat.

Seeing is everything when it comes to cleanly splitting doubles. Doubles are a fav target of mine, some nights I just cannot split a particular double but, the next night I can.

A great night! you have a very capable scope in the 200P, there will be no shortage of exciting nights in the future.
Clear skies!

Stopped raining today so managed to get out and set up the finder and have a play with the slew speeds. View looked clear and focused ok
surprised how quick I could set up and take down (in day light anyway!)
started sunny but now clouded over I think Thursday is the best bet based on clear outside app.
Enjoy it! i once had the CPC1100 but had to let it go as i quickly realized i was overwhelmed by its size and weight, otherwise it was a joy to use. It certainly is a serious looking scope and it doesn't disappoint through the eyepiece
from what i saw. Using the software and aligning was a breeze, it just did what it should do on every outing.

So does my oldest daughter. She's been to Japan for vacation twice in the last few years. It's her favorite destination for travel.
Maybe she’ll grab you a TOA-130 as a souvenir one of these trips!

Nice report, I have owned a SW 150 Mak and sold it because i was so curious about owning a refractor. Sometimes i do think and wish i still had the 150 Mak, it put up views of the moon and planets that were amazing.
Hmm, i do miss that Mak, maybe i will find another one and this time i'll keep it.

At least owning that telescope would take up the many hours of free time we get in the UK keeping it all looking all shiny and new with 'Brasso'-
All those tiny corners and grooves demanding a polish before the tarnish sets in once more. We have little else to do here while waiting for the cloud/rain/snow/fog to clear away. By then of course it will be June and the night sky too light for imaging under. Sigh. 😷
Cheers,
SteveIf i had that Moonraker scope it would be serious trouble for me, I would not be able to keep my hands off it, it is so beautiful.

Very nice shot of the double cluster!

I had a 150 Skywatcher Mak, only sold it for an APO but, I have taken some of my fav planetary images through that 150. Putting aside whatever benefits other designs have (all have pro's and cons) from the POV of planetary/Lunar
visual and imaging, my 150 was a crack shot. Now i will say they take a good while to cool, have narrow FOV comparing to other designs and, that 180 will take an eon to reach temperature unless you insulate it.

We’ll all cross fingers and hope you get a good one next time. If not then you can bet I’ll be livid for you and I’ll call Daystar with some choice words lol.

Because I haven't seen the sky in 4 weeks, not a star, clouded over so completely and evenly the sky has looked like a grey sheet for weeks.
Infuriating!!
