Hence why i am so skeptical of buying a Quark, we are assuming the item was used but, it could very well be an example of negligent QC.

I do the same, i bring my scope into my cold storage from the yard then move it into house after an hour or so, resist any temptation to wipe optics.

Hello Roy! welcome to SGL

Stories like this are great, my wife joked about my love for astronomy and how it always made me a social distancing champion, lol.

I love this image, not being an AP guru to say least i fail to understand much of what you say but, i do know beautiful when i see it.

This image actually made me gasp a bit, it is beautiful, it has a depth that i haven't seen in a 2D image, I would not do anything to this image except frame it and hang it if it were my own.

I’m a retired attorney, with some experience in this field. The majority of US chapter 11 reorganizations are successful. If not, the assets are liquidated and executory contracts, like warranties, are discharged. I strongly suspect Meade will shed burdensome contracts and come out of Chapter 11 as a lean but solvent company.
What does the discharging of warranties involve? does this affect customers seeking to exercise warranties on scopes they bought? pardon my ignorance.

Love it, it is a nice wide field image.

There’s a lot going on with that scope, I’m liking it with the slow motion controls and other bits you’ve done. Looking at this scope makes me wonder if somewhere there is a U-boat in a museum missing a few turn wheel thingys.

The link above sums up what objects look like through scopes very well. Despite many objects not looking as grand through the average scope as one would imagine, seeing these objects with your own eyes is awesome.

My first solar scope was a PST, i loved that little scope, it introduced me to solar and, even though it is sometimes tricky to use that tiny focuser i quickly learned to maximize what it could offer.
As for surface detail, granulation is not as obvious as proms and are more affected by seeing conditions as they are harder to pick out and good seeing really helps. Congratulations on the new
solar scope, i am sure you will have a blast with the PST, the little solar scope that could, as i referred to it as.

Great image, yes the moon is a pain isn't it, when it comes to imaging DSO's.

Nice image! although larger than a 127, i used the skymax 150 for some of my best planetary an lunar images.

This image is wonderful! something very pure about it, cannot say.

As exact as you can without spending too much time worrying about it, trust me on this on, from a recovered collimation addict. once it looks as close to centre as you can make it, trust your work and have a look
through the scope. If the views are great then great! collimation can be all consuming and, even worse, can lead to to make unnecessary adjustments which will open a collimation black hole.
Sorry to rant but, i've been there before.
