I have had two APM UFF eyepieces, they're great eyepieces, if i were to start fresh with the 200P I would love to have a set of Baader Morpheus. When I say set I mean I'm usually happy with 3-4 eyepieces for a particular scope. The Baader Morpheus eyepieces are just great eyepieces with lots of eye relief and built well. A set of Morpheus would be great starting from the 6.5, 9, 12.5, and 17.5mm. Once you buy your first Morpheus you will want more, I actually have more Pentax XW eyepieces than Morpheus because it just happened I bought them used at good prices as they are a bit more than the Morpheus line pricewise.

Nicely taken, I recal first resolving e,f stars through my 150 Mak on a great night, was satisfying to see them.
imaging them as close as you have is a challenge.

Hello: On a different forum I saw a beautiful image of the Horse Head using a 5".
I think with regards to an image its a completely different situation, one can image the horse head in a much smaller scope than what it can ever be seen in visually.

Getting awfully close, those two.

I would have to say that my fav eyepiece is my 9mm Morpheus, even though i have a small collection of Pentax XW's my 9mm morpheus is just darn nice. Those tight full disc lunar views with bright earthshine
are just spectacular with that eyepiece through my 115mm frac, it is great for clusters too.

@Highburymarkbeat me to it with something different. Of my current eyepieces I would definitely put my Zeiss 25mm microscope eyepieces at the top of the list. I use them when binoviewing for white light solar and also for lunar and planetary observing. Very sharp, great transmission and low scatter plus comfortable eye relief.
Not sure what i like more, the background or foreground.

I have a recent comparison but I was still getting used to the PGR Chameleon and the Sun wasn't that brilliant either so the images are a bit dull. This is with the PST.

Thanks for this comparison! maybe it’s my phone screen but the difference is big, I can’t see a prom at the 1 o’clock position in the first image which is glaring in the second.

It would be interesting to see a particular solar image done in both single vs double stack, i had a single stack Lunt and will soon buy another but, i would like to see what i would be missing comparing to a double stack.
If anyone has a comparison they can post i'd love to see it, thanks.

I enjoyed reading your first report, you may as well have written a hundred as it was a great report! M42 is always a blast to see especially your first time. You are well on your way my friend, when you mentioned you put your scope out to cool I knew right then you are an official amateur astronomer. Welcome aboard and, we look forward to more great reports from you, it feels great to discover the sky for yourself, clear skies!.

An amazing time with family just can’t be beat, love the way the child is peeking over the edge of the dolly.
