  1. Im sending that pic to everyone i know. Postman brought my rubber mallet and lawn pins yesterday. Too hot to be outside hammering pins into fake grass.
  2. Mine never arrived even though the company said it was delivered. Got a full refund. I'll order again because they are stunning.
  3. I just looked at the pics and thought they were droids from the next Star Wars movie.
  4. Ohhh!!!!!.........thats just sexy. On Tuesday, the postie will be bringing me a rubber mallet and 150 lawn pegs. Seems the "gardener" i got in to lay the grass skipped a few corners. He only pinned down the grass randomly and its all a bit hit and miss. A good stiff breeze this winter and the whole thing could take flight. I doubt it will, but best to be safe than sorry. Also just bought a heavy duty Stanley knife because he obviously doesnt know how to join 2 seams (one just tucked under the other). Honest...........my next post here will be astro related (a bottle of Wonder Fluid, or a Feather touch focuser for my Bresser........although the focuser on the bresser is silky smooth ).
  5. Kind of astro related because its fake grass (Astro turf) if you like. Wasn't the postman though.
  6. "Yes it’s no APO but it is still a nice well, built scope with decent optics and very well priced." Agreed.
  7. Beautiful looking scope. I might just get me one of those. LOL. You are right about CA in this scope being almost non-existent. Whats the name plate you mentioned?. Is it the silver bar on the dovetail?. I removed it so the scope would mount on AZ5.
  8. When my Bresser ar 102 xs grows up, it wants to be just like this.
  9. I know the camera adds 10 Lbs, but this EP looks like a MONSTER.
  10. Naff all. My Moon light was shown as delivered on Friday. No sign of it, so i have gotten a refund. I was thinking of ordering a wifi security camera (to keep an eye on deliveries, but that might go AWOL also).
  11. I really do want to. Not sure just yet about spending 2-3K. I would only want a basic model for browsing and general every day non heavy use. Suggestions
  12. No cardboard boxes today for me. Im expecting a 3D printed Moon light. Something like this:
  13. Shame the Quark is a different shade of burnt orange. Im knit picking. If i ever get to go abroad again, i'm thinking my new Bresser ar102 xs/Az5 mount and tripod combo will be a good travel buddy.
  14. I honestly think that's the sexiest scope ive ever seen.
  15. Strathspey 10x50 bins is all i ever take on holidays.
  16. If i like the view, its a keeper. I couldnt care less about the tech side of things.
  17. Have a Continuum filter. Ill let you all know how it performs day and night (the scope......not the continuum).
  18. Not expecting anything really. Simply because i am not technically minded. I just read so much about ED glass and scopes.......it has to be a good thing. The scope will be mainly for Ha.
  19. When I bought the scope, it said Moon map included. Instead I got a little planisphere about yay big. I think it works off of Hours, mins and degrees and declination etc........so i aint got a clue how to use it.
  20. Not sure why i'm so excited about a 102 mm scope when i own a 130 mm mini Dob and a 200 mm Go-To SCT. Guess i'm old school. Its not all about aperture...........its about the view.Hell, i don't even know what ED glass is, but i know i've always wanted an ED scope. Seriously thinking of selling the 8se on the Irish market (for collection only). Downsizing my house was the best thing i ever did, so why shouldnt the same rule apply to scopes. Still have my Heritage 130P (that's a keeper), and my 90 mm (1000 mm FL) refrac may get resurrected. The AZ5 could be a good way to go for the 90 mm. I'll have to try it. Love that scope. Its an absolute planet killer (amazing views of planets). Been observing for nearly 40 yrs............... I think ive just come of age (astro wise). Im now sure, that like many others...............im a refrac (and bins) kind of person. This is one of the many things i love about SGL: (ok 3 things) Fountain of knowledge, honesty and nobody is above anyone else. I now feel like i have a quality scope/tripod/mount at a very good price (about 600 euros). My 1st scope, 90mm EQ back in 2007 cost me about 450 euros.
