  1. I was going to say that if you have any panel beating skills or know someone who has................ Dent be gone.
  2. I could not live with a dent like that (even with a discount). Im a bit OCD about things like that. Id send it back. Love the observing chair. It looks very comfortable.
  3. Going on what people are buying of late, im guessing its a Takasushi of sorts.
  4. Nothing delivered today, but i know whats on its way. Will be here on Wednesday: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adjustable-Trigger-Ravelli-APGL4-Professional/dp/B003SQEAY0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532183620&sr=8-1&keywords=Ravelli+trigger+grip Having recently given my Celestron 70mm Travelscope and Horizon 8115 tripod to the kid across the road, i was in the market for a new tripod which i could use with my 20x90 bins (and anything else i own that will fit on it). I saw this posted on the thread "Show Us Your Bins", and thought it was a great price for the whole setup. Ive long lusted after a trigger grip (particularly for binocular astronomy), but never had a reason to buy one until now. 65 euros.............cant go wrong, worth the punt.
  5. I recently bought an AZ5 tripod and mount (B&W with a splash of lime green). It has the extension tube etc. It is extremely well build and solid as a rock. The tripod is pretty light to carry on its own (as is the mount). https://www.firstlightoptics.com/sky-watcher-az5-deluxe/sky-watcher-az5-deluxe-alt-azimuth-mount.html
  6. "You should clearly see and feel the difference whilst using a trigger grip. " OK..............GOOD THING.
  7. So, are you saying its a good or bad investment. 50 quid............worth a punt.
  8. Aye carumba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Just checked Amazon. The Ravelli trigger grip, mount and tripod...............about £50. Yes please, i'll have some of that.
  9. I'm LOVING that trigger grip. I'll have to look into (no pun intended) getting me one of those.
  10. Candy apple red is such a lovely colour.
  11. I like the idea of a footrest on the chair. When your legs/feet dangle while seated, they tend to go numb quickly.
  12. Nope. The R&P looks like a 6 month old child could snap it off.
  13. I love the way astro gear is moving away from boring colours. I still refuse to buy a pink scope though.
  14. So you know when the scope is perfectly cooled. Brilliant.
  15. Im sending that pic to everyone i know. Postman brought my rubber mallet and lawn pins yesterday. Too hot to be outside hammering pins into fake grass.
  16. Mine never arrived even though the company said it was delivered. Got a full refund. I'll order again because they are stunning.
  17. I just looked at the pics and thought they were droids from the next Star Wars movie.
  18. Ohhh!!!!!.........thats just sexy. On Tuesday, the postie will be bringing me a rubber mallet and 150 lawn pegs. Seems the "gardener" i got in to lay the grass skipped a few corners. He only pinned down the grass randomly and its all a bit hit and miss. A good stiff breeze this winter and the whole thing could take flight. I doubt it will, but best to be safe than sorry. Also just bought a heavy duty Stanley knife because he obviously doesnt know how to join 2 seams (one just tucked under the other). Honest...........my next post here will be astro related (a bottle of Wonder Fluid, or a Feather touch focuser for my Bresser........although the focuser on the bresser is silky smooth ).
  19. Kind of astro related because its fake grass (Astro turf) if you like. Wasn't the postman though.
  20. "Yes it’s no APO but it is still a nice well, built scope with decent optics and very well priced." Agreed.
