DPD would be my preference. Great service.

Zoom in and you can see flashing lights. Aircraft I'm sure. Cant say what streak at end is.

The 70's called. They want their belt back.

Sounds like military aircraft on night manoeuvre, releasing flares.

I've bought stuff from there. Never had any complaints.
I bought a Hershel wedge, filters. Few other bits.

Watched it the other night and thought is was pretty good. 👍🏻
Disney (JJ Abrams) have not done a bad job of the last two movies.
Looking forward to this final installment.

I had the xs and CA was a bit of a problem at higher mag but not terrible. The s would have been a bettter choice for regular visual. 🙂
You did have the Xs and liked it. I dont find CA a problem with the scope. It's there, but minimal.

Almost Paul. The 102S means short focus; the 102XS means extra short. The 102S is therefore that bit slower, and gives greater mag. I have the Exp Sci ED80 for super-widefield, so this a nice bridge between that and the AR 127L.
Doug.
Ahhh ok. The focal length of the Xs is 460mm. The S is 600.
Had too look it up to remind myself.
I thought the Xs was 600mm.
My bad.

Is this the same as the AR 102XS?. I bought one a couple of years ago. I use it in conjunction with my Quark Solar filter. Love it.
Really nice build quality. The smoothness of the focused is excellent.

Fortunately they are a pretty good lot around here. 🙂
The other day found a bottle of hand wash on the door step with a note saying I’d mentioned I was running low. Also was intending to repair the guttering on the front of the garage only to find someone had carried out a temporary repair for me.. No idea who did it but that’s pretty normal for this cul-de-sac. 🙂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
When you're done with your neighbours, can you send them round to me.

Myself and Lorna recently bought this between us. We bought it in the local PCWorld.
Its brilliant for what we need it for.We paid about 660 euros. The next model up (essentially the same specs was about 900 euros).

She had that great voice for astro program commentary - a perfect fit. Looking back I think I found the quality of her voice combined with the subject matter had a powerful synergistic effect to fire my interest in astronomy. RIP.
That's it exactly. She had a perfect voice for presenting tv shows. Tony Robinson has that same quality. I could watch anything they present. Pete Lawrence is another. Dr. Alice Roberts too.

Heather on S@N back in the day is the reason I took up astronomy.

Lovely and clear here tonight, but its freezing and there were still strong gusts at about 8pm.

Always seated for me (wheelchair). There's good medical reasons for sitting. No neck or back issues and the muscles in the eyes are relaxed, which improves view.

This is the website of Tom o D. He is a brilliant astro photographer. He does a lot of it in France with Olly in Les Grange.

A thread about Vixen, and no mention of the NPL range. I do love vixen EPs.

The stick holding the secondary mirror just tightens/loosens when you turn it.

@John would in my mind be ideal. There are others also.
