  1. @david_taurus83, i've got my scope exactly like @Davey-T has it in this picture because the focuser kept on hitting the Dec saddle. I'm glad Dave suggested me this because this also gives me nice and easy access to the focuser lock. Dave is a real life saver. Be like Dave
  2. I just burst into laughter while travelling back home on a packed train after seeing this.
  3. So no need for a grill then, just stick the sausages out of the window for a few minutes and perfect BBQ ? Safe travels brother
  4. As long as the clouds stay away from us here in the UK, i'm happy for your purchases
  5. Looks like a bird bath to me and @Gina ... it's the winners treat. Deal?
  6. Dang! we posted at the same time but your comment beat me to it
  7. Absolutely mate. Getting close to the auto-focus dreams one bit at a time. Hopefully will be somewhere nearer to it come winters
  8. Making an already amazing scope even better. Super excited for you "good boy"
  9. The postman brought me nothing fancy like most of you but quite important (for me) a cable which will be used to hook up (soon to be bought) Lakeside motorised focuser to my Pegasus Ultimate Powerbox. One step closer to achieving the good results.
  10. wowzer! Congratulations on the canon Derek.
  11. I hinted my wife and kids for a PS4 Pro as the fathers day gift, then slowly shifted the idea towards a more reasonable gift ... the motorized focuser which i really needed which i thought i got through to them ... one night i was looking at some cologne for myself, left the page open on the desktop and went to sleep ... 2 days later, my wife and kids surprised me to that cologne ... clearly 4 times a day hint wasn't enough ... i should've been more direct lol
  12. Mate, wish I knew something to help you with it. I’ve been trolling through the forum and different posts and yet to build my own obsy some point in the future but I guess your post had ignited that flame within me to get up from my bottom and install and play around with the software.
  13. I tend to use a variety of apps/websites to make a decision. I must admit, i've only got it wrong a handful of times and a few times when i thought "Damn it looks clear right now so seems like i've misjudged the predictions" have actually turned out to be a miserable cloudy night any way. I couldn't care less like RayD about the bad seeing, as long as it's clear and will remain like that for the entire imaging session, i'll be out.
  14. 1:10.8 for me. Been using this with my SCT with 3 min exposures and no issues. Well when i say no issues, that's to the naked eye of course
  15. Yes, text would most certainly help. Or maybe some sort of an indicator (Traffic light system) or even better a legend to suggest what the numbers mean.
  16. That's a really good addition. I look forward using this
  17. Here's an idea, do what the animals do. p155 around the observatory and mark your territory. This should keep the opportunists away
  18. Ok, that's the first time i've seen this so i stand correct but i wasn't wrong either. You have to pay for the major release and they're thinking of producing one major release every year and if they don't then no yearly fee (at least that's how i'm reading it). Any way, not trying to steer away from the topic, this is my first purchase of SGP and absolutely loving it. @RayD videos are amazing and have really helped me a lot
  19. I'm sorry but I think you're slightly wrong here Ray. You don't have to pay annually but for every major release (v3, v4, v5, v6 etc etc) you will have to but for the minor release (v3. 1, v3.2, v3. 3 etc) you don't.
  20. Downloaded ... your first user ... will test this further. What do i get being your first downloader?
