I'm happy to report that last night when i was out, i did not see the scope slip since the new felts have been put on. But i'll keep a close eye on this and will report back if i do happen to see it slip once again.

I most definitely do brother Knowing you, I expect nothing but the best possible review mate. What I'd be more interested in knowing how the focus holds in low and high temperature changes and how "sharp" are the images produced.

Doh! Too late, I've done that with the newer felts ? Also, taking the felts off for me was much easier. So can be done again if needed but I'm hoping I don't ever end up doing that.

Cheers Old China. Am now on antibiotics now so the only road is now recovery. I got so sick of staying in bed the entire time that even though I'm not fully recovered, Mrs. soul let me play with the scope Done! Used the Stanley knife and the scope does indeed seem to grip better.... For now... Real test will be when I take it out for a spin the first chance I get. Done Steve. You're right, it can't do any harm. I'll let you know how it goes. Given my working hours, a few weeks is when I might get a chance to test it all any way @AbsolutelyN, can you keep us posted here too how you get on with the new felts? You seem to be getting better skies than I do here in London any way mate

Also just for a reference the one on the right is the old felt length and the one on the left is the new one. @FLO would you like me to keep on putting the new felts on and see how it goes?

Hi Steve, I took a day off from work because just started to recover from this virus so the first thing I did now is to look in to removing the older felts and put the new ones on. On a closer inspection, the new felts as @AbsolutelyN mentioned look exactly the same thickness and are indeed slightly shorter but it doesn't really matter if they're short, as long as they do they job? Tried my best to take an image of how thick both of them are. Top bit is the new one and bottom one is the one I removed from the rings. Thanks.

Cheers for the update. I haven't had the chance to test them on. Been feeling poorly since Thursday evening but if I do start to feel better today or tomorrow, I will give it ago too.

Makes sense, I thought that it would be the case but until I have the scope in front of me, I wouldn't know. Cheers matey, I'll give that a go over the weekend. It wasn't so much on how it sticks on but was more about "do we remove the old ones out first and then stick the new one or stick the new ones over the top of the old ones and secondly do we stick them all?" and also one end is cut straight and the other end is slightly L shape cut. Not sure about that which goes where.

Exactly I got the same 4 strips as well and they do indeed look the same.

Slight update. Mentioned the issue to FLO yesterday and got home tonight and found the felts have arrived. That was quick but the only issue is, no instructions on how to put them on so I’m a bit lost here. I don’t know if I’m supposed to put these felts on by removing the old ones or over the top of the existing ones ?

Hats off to FLO for getting stuck right in with this issue and like i said are always with the customer. Their service is top notch! My virtual hat off to you FLO

Agreed but maybe it's something with a newer batch? Possibly, but then i've had my scope for at least 4 months now and i'm sure quite a few of them went out of the door as well for the dealer to realise this and sending the felts on case by case basis.
