souls33k3r replied to angryowl's topic in Discussions - Scopes / Whole setups
Call it a C8 one more time ? it's an EdgeHD ? Nee bother matey, living close to one another should have some perks and i'm just happy to have what you need to test. Keep it as long as you like, no rush. Hope it works out for you matey.- 147 replies

A cricket bag and some foam?

I most definitely do brother Knowing you, I expect nothing but the best possible review mate. What I'd be more interested in knowing how the focus holds in low and high temperature changes and how "sharp" are the images produced.
-
Ray, matey can't wait for your review and please don't be gentle Also I think you're missing a trick here. You need a handy assistant to model this scope and any other goodies in the future for your video... Look no further

Dude's not going to slag them off and then expect freebies now would he? I do enjoy his videos but i never get impressed by his verdict.

You're too kind Ray ... it's a Deal! i'll pack their bags

I've got two kids ... one can go ... need funds for this beauty ... any takers?

Wait, let me get my divorce papers ready.

Cheers Old China. Am now on antibiotics now so the only road is now recovery. I got so sick of staying in bed the entire time that even though I'm not fully recovered, Mrs. soul let me play with the scope Done! Used the Stanley knife and the scope does indeed seem to grip better.... For now... Real test will be when I take it out for a spin the first chance I get. Done Steve. You're right, it can't do any harm. I'll let you know how it goes. Given my working hours, a few weeks is when I might get a chance to test it all any way @AbsolutelyN, can you keep us posted here too how you get on with the new felts? You seem to be getting better skies than I do here in London any way mate

Hi Steve, I took a day off from work because just started to recover from this virus so the first thing I did now is to look in to removing the older felts and put the new ones on. On a closer inspection, the new felts as @AbsolutelyN mentioned look exactly the same thickness and are indeed slightly shorter but it doesn't really matter if they're short, as long as they do they job? Tried my best to take an image of how thick both of them are. Top bit is the new one and bottom one is the one I removed from the rings. Thanks.

Makes sense, I thought that it would be the case but until I have the scope in front of me, I wouldn't know. Super exhausted from the days work so have left this for the weekend now Cheers Steve, you're absolutely awesome. I'll see if I can get myself out of the cosy warm bed and look at it but if not then I'll most definitely do this on Saturday and will let you know

Cheers matey, I'll give that a go over the weekend. It wasn't so much on how it sticks on but was more about "do we remove the old ones out first and then stick the new one or stick the new ones over the top of the old ones and secondly do we stick them all?" and also one end is cut straight and the other end is slightly L shape cut. Not sure about that which goes where.

Slight update. Mentioned the issue to FLO yesterday and got home tonight and found the felts have arrived. That was quick but the only issue is, no instructions on how to put them on so I’m a bit lost here. I don’t know if I’m supposed to put these felts on by removing the old ones or over the top of the existing ones ?
