  4. Love it, too! I started using it with N.i.N.a. and couldn't be happier! I had to do my star alignment before as my polar scope is not well calibrated (and is hell to do it right...at least for me) so plate solving makes things a lot easier AND faster!
  5. Walking noise seems to be typical from One shot color cameras and DSLR. Also heard they call it "Correlated Noise" and I guess is same as "color mottle" that Tony Hallas was talking about here Once I tried my Olympus ep-3 for wide field and saw a lot of those I have a lot of it. In your M31 there is too, but in different direction as the M45. Was told, althought I couldn't see it that much, that in my qhy8L I also had some, so since I am dithering and indeed the images come out "cleaner" Patience till Christmas then!
  6. very good results with the flattener! althought that pattern looks like walking noise. did you dither the frames? did it happen with other images ?
  7. Here's a video review regarding the Evoguide practical uses for astrophotography, including the Skywatcher Evoguide dedicated Field Flattener. It seems it does a good job correcting the field, although is true that the back focus is very limited.. I was hoping to try it with my Qhy8-L but it is 20mm backfocus...so maybe not.

It is quite different than the previous one I wanted to get more of the Oiii outer "shell " of the crescent, and also the dark nebulas on the upper right corner. is in SHO and processed in StarTools 1.7.422 GPU version. Then slightly touched in windows "photo" editor... Loaded the three files first and saved it as a single Luminance file in Mono on compose module. Also loaded H-alpha and Oiii individually and stretched a bit.   12. Hi, I'm considering on buying this scope, for visual grab-and-go, as a substitute of my WO ZS66SD. As the borg is lighter than the 66SD, and can be splitted down in few parts making it easier to carry in a bag or rucksac (planning to take it with me in some hikes and camping) Anyone has used this scope visually? I know many people use them for AP, but can't find reviews of it visually. Any comments would be appreciated Regards Carles
