Well this is embarassing, I have just been out to look at mine and there is no plate.
In my defence it has been sat on that tripod in the same place for about 3 years its my alternative mount that is semi perm.
Sorry no help from me.

Brilliant, thanks for sharing, I managed to get some data through high misty cloud yesterday, rain and cloud today 😭
Thanks, there was the almost constant thin high cloud again yesterday.
Today has been very wet and we have the indoor water feature back in the garage, thought I had cured it.

Nice set. The H-alpha looks a touch noisy, perhaps a bit too much sharpening.
It is hard with the sun so low. I have to set the scope up across the street and do some genuine sidewalk astronomy
Yes in daylight it does look like it.
Back away from the unsharp mask tool Steve.

Nice set Steve, too low here now for a couple of weeks.

Same here unless I abuse the mount - plenty of weight on the c/w shaft and on the dec axis.

Have you ever noticed that when out somewhere there can be clear blue skies and you think perfect for a bit of solar observing but as you get closer to home the cloudier it gets. 😢😢😢
YES!!

I have both rain and sun at the moment.

Looks to me like ice on the cover slip or chip.
Maybe a change or recharge of the dessicant (if it has some) is needed.
I use a small dew band on my SX 694 to keep it free and turn said band off when imaging.

I fired up the meteor scatter as I was about to hit the sack and recorded these.
pity I can't see to get the conditional actions to work and record while I get some kip.
Mores the pity I am not as young and fit as I used to be and up in N Yorks camping watching them.

Just about to take a drive up on the downs to see how low the SE view is.

We are in tier 3 so i don't think going on a trip to catch the conjunction would go down well.

First class effort and perseverance. I'm hoping to get a few practice shots in this week weather permitting - still don't know if it will actually be visible much from here but I'd love to photograph them.
Jim
Thanks.
I intend on using a scope nearer the closest approach and if it is clear I think it will be an early afternoon daylight session for me.
