  2. Set up the Lunt for full disc and then dug out the tilter and popped in place on the Quark and no adjustment was required.

The wind made things a bit difficult at times .but I did capture a bit of data today.

    293Gb of it  😮

glad to see you have gone Quarkers Steve😀, great shots mate. charl. ps a 50% reducer should get rid of the NRs.

Thanks I will give that a try if I can find the reducer.

Great images. Plenty of prom action there. 🙂 How do you avoid the Newton's Rings when using the Powermate? I have the same scope and camera, (and Powermate) but I've avoided using the PM due to very noticeable rings.

    Thanks Alan.

I'm not sure TBH as they are there some days and not others, the only thing I can think is that the tilt shifts a bit each time I set up.

Before the FLIR Chameleon cam went to meet its maker i could not get it to work with the pm and had to have a tilter in for native.

Last year I modified the BF from diagonal to straight through and maybe that imparts a slightly different tilt, or the fact that I use a Coronado rich field unit for double stacking.

Or it coud be the luck of the draw.

V nice - lots of activity!  The 3rd image really captures the silhouettes of all the proms (incl the one at 11 o'clock).  If its possible to combine those silhouettes w the 2nd image, it should be quite spectacular! 👍🏾

Do you mean a bit like this ?
