I do mine in AS2 crop the stack lines in Photoshop then stitch in ICE. Works for me if ther is not a long time between them and there is plenty of overlap.

Well done. Battling snow and hail showers ATM Despite having covers to hand some of the kit has had a rinse.

What have you set the exposure to in plate solving? I have increased mine due to similar problems with the RC IIRC I set it to 30 secs -I'm using CCD.
