  1. Going after Rosetta tonight ... hold thumbs I have everything sorted.

  2. Nice clear night, bright moon is washing stuff out though. Limited to 300s with my new LP filter ;)

  3. Just got my EOS LP Filter, so finally can do a 600s sub. Got about 2hrs of data already, 4hrs to go! Whoop Whoop, back in the game.

      Hi Christopher. mine arrived back on Saturday with the same model camera and the same Baader modification.

      Rained ever since.

      Well, everybody please blame tweedy! Looks like its going to clear tonight. I am trying to decide between M31 Galaxy or the Eastern Veil Nebula.

      The veil would be my choice to give the modding a nice work out, and M31 is still very low

  7. Just sent my baby (600D) off to be modified ... I hope she survives the surgery!

  8. Met office says clear all night for sussex, with very good visibility from 1am on. I feel a imaging session coming on.

      Aarg I feel like a pirate this morning. I set-up, went to bed and woke up at 1am ... It was worth it as the milky way was glowing!

  9. Arrg clouds just rolled in, pretty thick. Met office says was only supposed to happen in 2 hrs time ... Grrr.

      I've started to ignore the met office forecasts. Too depressing! I just roll with it now. It clouds when it clouds!

      The met office are liars! Ask a dinner lady. Much more accurate with the forecasts.

  10. Almost fell off my chair, just checked the met office, clear all night, visibility very good all night ... starting to tremble :)

  11. so proud of my little eq5 pro, on my 7th 600s sub and going strong. dew is a real pain though!

      shorten the shutter speed say 1/200 to 1/1000 see how you get on, the moon is very very bright

      Lol, sorry my bad, I was trying to take a picture of Orion and it is all washed out. Not a picture of the moon.

  19. Had my 600D in the Fridge last night building a set of Darks and Bias frames.

  20. M82 Data capture underway. Nice and cosy inside now and monitoring via remote desktop. :)

  23. Just set up, did 3, 5 minute imaging runs and stripped down in 1 hour. Nice getting better at this!

      No, the seeing was rubbish, so my images are not that good. Plus the flip side of rushing is that my focus was not great and slightly over exposed.

      Just come back in Jupiter was fantastic and I caught my first sight on Uranus, but the moon obscured it a lot.

      Jupiter was really good, well done on Uranus, It can be a bit of a disappointing little green blob.
