The daytime was very sunny & pleasant Gerry and I was hoping to catch the planet alignment tonight, but alas, the clouds arrived just as work was over

Nice one Gerry. I love the close ups of the lunar surface as all kinds of detail becomes apparent :-) are you seeing the 3D effect ?

Shaun the detail and 3d around Copernicus is simply amazing, a few hours were spent along the terminator. The seeing has allowed some very sharp high mag viewing and Sirius is easily split at 101x... The orthos/VIP did a great job jousting with the zoom for first place. Trying to stay up for Jupiter.....

It's almost summer here, just as cloudy and rainy, a few degrees lower temperature...

I've been looking for a 5mm XO for a couple of years now. There was one around a year ago but it was snapped up by a certain Mr Bacanin. There is a TMB 5mm Supermono available at the moment in the UK but I've owned one of those and the 30 degree AFoV is just TOO small !

Its hard to say as I have never tried the XW 30mm, the T31 is excellent :-)

The Moon does look pretty good ATM Gerry, quite colourful too :-)

A filter? you might have done some endurance tests with it :-)

My UltraBlock, narrowband filter, is no longer with us.... not worth any testing either...

I have a fringe killer to get rid of and that's about it :-)
