Having a go here too, evoguide 50ED, sharpcap 4, astap for plate solving, ASI462MC and a 7 inch W10 tablet though and a virtuoso V1 with synscan wifi dongle to Android. I'm trying live stacking with individual fits files. Only issue currently is the ascon driver installation on to the tablet I need to test the sharpcap sync option is still working (now fixed and working together). The mount is perfectly stable. My field of view is slightly more than 1 degree.

I fixed mine by downloading from skywatcher direct

I am back, had to uninstall, reboot and then reinstalled the latest version to get the pro version to work again

Ouch I see my synscan pro app install updated yesterday and now no longer works.
Going to try rolling it back and the Pro version is needed for getting the camera connect function.

On mine the Pro version of the app auto detects it is only az mode.

I currently use the app to star align and then the mount tracks and has go to function. I also connect the camera DSLR to the mount using the camera cable and fire the shutter through the app. The other specific features like panoramic settings are only available when using the mount buttons directly, I suspect when a dongle isn't also connected.

Hi you first need to connect your Android device to the wifi that the dongle is broadcasting then use the synscan app and connect
the virtuoso mount works great with the dongle, I have a virtuoso v1.
I use the synscan pro Android app it works great on altaz mode on the virtuoso v1 mount

Fabulous entries, a great challenge, well done those are great

Although I am happy using the stock rings the weight of the DSLR draws the OTA to a natural slip stop point on the top green ring, this does not cause me a problem as I altaz image so no meridian flip. It might be I just haven't tightened enough the threaded rubber tipped fixing bolts.

The skywatcher one was too short for the mirrorless canon I was considering. The starizona EVOFF-v2 has enough backfocus for the canon DSLR which I use, their v1 flavour does not.

The EVOFFv2 is I think for APS-C sized sensors. I've used mine with a ZWO camera and placed the filter in the ZWO adapter, with the 1100d I used a filter holder that fitted in the camera and used a 1.25 filter. The rings with the 50ED work for me so haven't changed them. I made a Y mask out of card for focusing.

Is this the lens you know @alacant

Perhaps the reviews on binocularsky website might be something to look through, the emailed monthly news letter on what to observe with binoculars is good.

50% bin, Wipe took some tweaking as it was too easy to wipe the colour out

I use selected stars to sample in decon though you have to look around to find green stars to use. I set to 0 airy disk radius and did an isolate pass then a dim small pass later.
-
what did you use to stack?

Just checked the Android version works with Android 5 and up.
-
I use just a mobile phone to use the synscan mobile app in Android flavour, you don't have too use a tablet, if you are ios flavour user you'll probably want to check if you still need two devices if you want to pair with a planetarium as well.

Mosaic for anyone to play with
in Imaging - Solar

I haven't had a go yet but I have found ICE will do a tricky mosaic if it's built up slowly. Two images save them repeat by adding one image to the pair save then repeat adding one image to the trio save then repeat.
