You can also just apply sky glow to an image without altering the stretch and prior processes.

Hi, the linear image once processed in PS would be expected to be better even if it looked less good to start with.

Hi planets can be done with a manual mount, so I'd definitely try them. You'll need to make a light shroud for your telescope I think can can make this at home.
For planets it's video clips you would take and then process using software like registax or astrostakker
You could try bright clusters maybe 1 second exposures taking lots and stacking those images using deep sky stacker
Have a look in the mobile imaging threads for ideas or here

Saturn in IR is so much better, lovely Mars too. Was that quite late as earlier in the evening I thought the red spot was showing having looked last night at stalerium

Is this wide open or what's the lens like with a step down ring is it acceptable then?
-
That's still good news the azgti is happy now with the firmware update, it would be good to also update your other GTi and see if it fixes that one too.

you could 3d print a shoe to go in the flash hot shoe to fit a red dot finder, helps with aiming the camera
-
if the mount is not level and say you aligned using stars in the east and swest then went to an object in the nw then I guess you wouldn't see it in the eyepiece

With a static mount star trail images are fun to do, starstax for stacking them
-
Lots to gain from extending to a tracking mount using your existing camera and lens. If into making things then there is a barn door tracker either manually operated or driven that can be made with bits and pieces inexpensively.

Periodically affinity photo is heavily discounted too if you like the astro macros that have been developed for it.

Microsoft image compilation ICE is free and it stitches images together. I think it can still be downloaded but I haven't looked recently.

I've read on the forum the Android app polaraligner pro can help when you can't see Polaris
-
GIMP free image processing
ASTAP free stacking
Sequator free stacking
Fitsliberator free fits file viewer
Registax free planets
Autostakker free planets
PIPP free planets
Sharpcap free planets but pro is good and very reasonable

Maybe see what astrobusuit has as I think there are a couple

It is generally slewing speeds of 8 or 9 that can be seen other speeds are very quiet and hardly move to the eye. Check what the slewing speed is.

Welcome.
I don't have your mount but the two things that trip up setup are. Date is mm dd yyyy and location is in degrees minutes seconds and not decimal
-
Have a look at this thread, 60 seconds is rarer to achieve but go for it, it is surprising what can be done and there is plenty to learn

Sorry, good luck in the retest later

I think @alacant has the same lens
-
From what you've described I think it's still worth doing videos as then you get hundreds more images per frame from which software stacks the best frames to make the final image then you sharpen it using wavelets.

That's a great idea and the images especially m27 had come out clear.

I haven't imaged Jupiter though when not using an IR blocking filter I used on general and astro R64 B93
Are you using an IR/UV filter?
